About the role

In this rewarding, customer-facing Junior NOC Engineer role, you’ll be a main point of contact for customer faults, providing great customer service along with managed service activities across our portfolio of enterprise networking products.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar Junior NOC Engineer role, with the ability to communicate both technically and professionally through telephone calls, ticketing system and email.

Core responsibilities

  • You will work as part of a team to remotely support and identify issues affecting customer systems and services, then perform 1st line diagnosis with a view to resolution.
  • Proactively monitor customer solutions to ensure all events are captured and actioned.
  • To use MLR’s ITSM system to ensure calls are responded to within the Customer’s SLA.
  • Be able to work independently and be trusted to provide professional support services to our customers.
  • To be able to self-educate and attain and maintain industry standard IT accreditations.
  • Involvement in the support and improvement of Internal MLR Systems that support both internal MLR users as well as External Customers
  • Keeping assets up to date in ITSM platform tool

Essential skills and experience

  • Some experience in a networking role.
  • Understanding of Cisco CLI.
  • Managed and debugged Cisco Switches & Routers.
  • Working towards Cisco CCNA certification.
  • Willing to learn and develop technical knowledge.
  • Ensuring great customer experience is provided through excellent service.
